Adventures in Colorado: Temporary Living Day 19

Thursday, February 24, 2011:

   Who knew sending a fax would be so difficult? Trying to get documentation to Jiffy Lube about my massive leak in the oil filter they installed only 3 weeks ago took 2 days and multiple phone calls. I don't know if they finally go the fax or the scanned document that Alex e-mailed over, but I got reimbursed for that faulty oil filter.

   Since faxing took a lot longer than expected Lana and I were 15 minutes late to story time. We caught one book and a few songs. Lana actually did pretty well only having to sit for that time span. After story time we got on the computer to play some games, then Lana enjoyed getting board books and reading them at the kid tables. There was a 2-3 year old story time at 10:30, I tried to sit her down for that but she wasn't having it :( So sad, it seems like that group does more rhymes and movements than the baby story time and I think she would have really enjoyed it. Oh well, maybe another time when she is actually 2.

    Leaving the library was another tearful exit, not sure what to do to change that. Maybe it will be easier when we can actually check out books and take them home with us. She was so sleepy and fell asleep in the car on the way home and took a great hour and a half nap once we got home. Before we picked Daddy up from work today we went to a park right new to his work. There were a lot of birds, it was neat to walk into a park and hear all the birds singing together. The sun was setting so we put on some warmer coats and checked out the neat walkways.

Back home Alex opened a package and Lana got to play with bubble wrap for the first time ever! She was a little surprised when it popped, but she had a difficult time popping it very much. Even walking on it we didn't get the popping we thought we would. Better luck next time Lana. She still did some silly things and I caught it on film and video for you to enjoy.
