I have to add this picture I took of Lana Thursday evening. I love when she feeds her stuffed animals. Here she is giving her cat some water, and look at the drinking face she is making! Lol!
On to Friday...Success, we made it to the Highlands Ranch Library! It was wonderful. When you come into the children's section there is a large puppet theater and round carpet where all the kids sit for storytime. By 9:30 there were about 15 - 20 toddlers with their parents. The librarian started with some songs and introduced a horse puppet. Today we read 3 stories about animals and the sounds they make. Between each story we would do songs and rhymes with movements. The kids loved it and I knew most of the songs and poems because I did them with my own kindergarten students. They have toddler storytime every day of the week except Tuesday, and this week they will also have a puppet show. We plan on going everyday. It is a great chance to get out of the house and meet some future neighbors.
After the library Lana and I ran to Super Target. Highlands Ranch has every store you could want and more. It is awesome, and then to come out of a store and see the mountains in the background, amazing! Lana rides well in the cart for awhile, but recently she wants to shop with Mama like Lama Lama in Lama Lama Mad at Mama. This is such a cute rhyming book about Llama Llama that Aunt Laura gave to Lana, she loves them! Check out this big girl at Target.
Lana was pretty tired after the library and shopping so she fell asleep in the car on the way home. The rest of the afternoon we spent hanging out in our hotel suite. That evening after a bath and getting Lana's jammies on, she decided she wanted to go night night in the big bed, here she is getting ready for bed.
Lana saying, "Nigh, nigh" |
To Lana's dismay she went to bed in her pack and play, not ready for a big girl bed just yet. Thank goodness Lana goes to bed no problem after we read a few stories.
