Today was our official first full day of temporary home living. Alex starts his job tomorrow and we aren't scheduled to move into our new home until March 12th. Our relocation package is paying for us to stay in a nice 2 bedroom hotel suite with a small full size kitchen. We woke up to a winter wonderland. Check out all the snow we could see out our windows.
You can't see our car, but it looked like all the rest. When Alex put his hand into the snow, it went up to the base of his thumb, so we're thinking 5-6 inches since we got here yesterday after 4. We have to walk across to the parking lot for breakfast, but we all enjoyed a hot meal together. After we got back to the room Lana climbed up on the couch all by herself and enjoyed watching some shows on PBS. Now we want to wear the neck pillow that was for the car, and Mommy's not Lana's. :)
After Lana and Alex took their afternoon nap ;) driving took a lot out of Alex these past 3 days, we decided to run to Walmart. Alex got to use his extending scraper to clean off the Xterra, thanks Mom, it works great. We then spent 2 hours stocking up on food and some things that we need in the hotel for the next 30+ days before we move into our new home and get all of our personal belongings.
We spent the rest of the day putting everything in it's place, making our hotel feel more like our home, and watching the Super Bowl Game.
