Texas Beginnings: League Park

League Park
Friday, January 28, 2011:

If you live in or around League City, TX you have to check out League Park.  The playground was just rebuilt and it has play areas for all ages.  It is handicap accessible and that makes it very toddler accessable with the large ramp going to all the playground equipment.  On this trip to the park we met up with Caleb, Aunt Melissa, and Grandma.  Check out all the fun we had together at the park.

Apparently Lana waits for no one, "C-ya!"
Drive, drive, drive, "Vroom"

Look at that big boy coming down the sairs.
"I can do it all by myself Mom."

Lana in the tunnel.

These tunnels are great for the little ones!

There is also a musical park.  Kids can play on different kinds of musical instuments.  They can also jump on musical notes on the ground and each music note makes a different instrument sound.  Caleb and Lana are dancing, tapping, and clapping where the music comes out.

The other side of the park is made up of cobblestone walkways, a gazebo, and even a pond with a bridge. The pond is filled with turtles, fish, and frogs.  There is even a caboose that has refreshments.  Lana and Caleb enjoyed going up and down the stairs around the caboose.  I have lots of memories of coming to play at this park when I was younger, and in junior high and high school we even put on some band concerts in the park.  I am so glad I got to share some memories in this park with Lana before we moved to Colorado.
