We slept in again at our hotel in Trinidad, CO. This was a beautiful old town right next to the mountains. I would love to make a trip there again to travel the Highway of Legends. It is suppose to be the most scenic drive in Colorado. We had breakfast in the hotel and then hit the road about 10 am. We traveled easily on clear dry roads and only stopped once at a rest area. It was so nice and offered complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, chi tea, or apple cider. I got a hot chocolate for the road and took over the driving.
The weather was great until we got closer to our destination. About 20 miles out from Highlands Ranch it started to sleet and then snow. We got to our new home about 1:10 and we were there for the inspection till 4. While we were there it snowed about 2 inches, what a welcome to our new home!
This is a picture taken as we are leaving our new home, white white everywhere! We made it to our hotel and it continued to snow. We decided to get everything in and order a pizza for dinner and let someone else brave the streets. We got Lana's room set up, Alex got his computer set up and we enjoyed a quiet evening inside.
